The Cohalan Court Complex, located in Central Islip, New York, houses various divisions of the American justice system and provides services such as administration, a Criminal Court, the Suffolk County Traffic Division, which oversees the issuance of parking tickets, and the County Supreme Court and Family Courts. The Cohalan Court Complex is located in Carleton Ave (County Road 17), immediately north of the Southern State Parkway Service Road and north of the huge white Federal Courthouse, which is home to the Cohalan Court Complex. It’s only a few miles south of Bethpage Ballpark.
If you are from the Southern State Parkway, take Exit 43A, keep right, cross the overpass, and head north on Carleton Ave, following the signs to Cohalan Court Complex. On your right, you’ll see the entrance to the court complex.
If you are from the Southern State Parkway, take Exit 43A and continue straight through the traffic-light-controlled intersection, past the Federal Courthouse on the left, and then turn left at the first intersection. And from Long Island Expressway (LIX) (I-495): Take Exit 56 (State Route 111) to get off the highway.
In the court complex, the offices of the clerks are located on the 2nd floor and the trial parts are located on the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th floors. The entrance to the District Court Building is across from the flagpoles in the main parking lot.
