The construction of Arthur M. Cromarty Criminal Court Complex was completed in 1975. In 1990, however, a new wing was added to the structure. This addition brought the total number of courtrooms to 19. There is a canteen for refreshments on the first floor, as well as a law library for research. Courtrooms, the narcotics and appeals bureau, an administration office, a major crime office, Suffolk County, NY district attorneys, and child abuse and domestic violence offices are all located inside the Arthur M. Cromarty Criminal Court Complex.
Archer M. Cromarty is a University of Alabama graduate. He was born in Brooklyn in 1919 and later served in the US Army as a captain. During WWII, he received training at Mitchell Field before being deployed to England. He rose to the position of lead bombardier and was in charge of launching the mission’s first bomb. The other bombardiers would then follow suit and drop their bombs.
CPT Arthur Cromarty went on to fly 30 combat flights over Germany and France, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal, which are given to members of the armed services who display heroism or outstanding achievement while participating in an aerial flight.
The European Theater, Air Offensive Europe, Normandy, and Northern France were among the battles and campaigns in which CPT Cromarty took part. The European, African, and Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbons, as well as the European Theater of Operation Medal with three Bronze Battle Stars, were awarded to him. In 1994, the President of the Regional Council of Lower Normandy presented him with the Jubilee Medal, which honored the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Normandy Landing and Battle of Normandy.
Arthur Martin Cromarty was an American jurist. Cromarty was an administrative judge and served on the New York Supreme Court for Suffolk County, New York, from 1966 until 1993. He died in the state of Florida.
The Arthur M. Cromarty Criminal Court Complex can be a little difficult to find. The Long Island Expressway is the most convenient method to get there. Take exit 71 off the expressway and turn right onto Route 24. Keep an eye out on the right side of the road for signage. They can assist you in finding the Arthur M. Cromarty Criminal Court Complex. Keep to the right after passing the Suffolk County Correctional Facility. The first right you’ll make will be onto Center Drive. The Arthur M. Cromarty Criminal Court Complex will be located just behind the County Center, on the right side of the road.
